Testing for asbestos is now required before City Plan Review Inspectors will even review prints for remodeling or demo of any site. We can schedule a licensed asbestos inspector to take a sample and send to a lab to be tested. A certificate will then be issued to accompany the prints for City approval. Approximately 2 weeks for testing is necessary.

Information will be distributed to the attendee's that will cover, identifying a health issue, administering first aid, contacting emergency personal, and if needed performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (Automated external defibrillation). Review material will also be handed out for refreshing skills later. A 2 year certification is obtained in one 7 hour class for First Aid, CPR and AED training.

State law now requires all demo work to first be inspected and certified by a licensed Asbestos inspection company before any work is started. We have a certified Energy inspector that can perform and file an energy inspection report for any construction or finish-out project. There are 2 phases to this inspection process. The first is completed by pulling data from prints and entered into a computer program to qualify plans in the latest adopted energy code guidelines. All plan prints now must be certified before they will be inspected by city plan review inspector. An energy data requirements sheet will be issued for compliance by the contractor managing the construction/finish-out project. A site inspection is then performed upon completion of work to insure compliance and to certify an Energy Inspection Summary Sheet before City final inspection can be complete.

Annual Fire Marshal inspections require fire extinguishers to be re-certified each year and all exit signs and lights to be tested. Electrical panels also have restrictions concerning access and identification of emergence lighting. If your equipment is not in compliance, the Fire Marshal Inspector will issue you a noncompliance ticket that will usually give you 3 to 10 days before a re-inspection will occur. Subsequent fines will be issued if the items listed are not corrected.
